Mixmasters
Client:  Drunk Elephant
Agency: Big Active
Mixmasters is a psychedelic animated film showcasing Drunk Elephant’s iconic skincare range made in collaboration with artist Robert Beatty and agency Big Active. This project presented the challenge of animating over 30 products in Blender within a series of surreal settings before compositing in After Effects to blend seamlessly with Roberts destinctive airbrush illustration style.

My role included creative direction with Robert for the storyboard, visual transitions and flow of the piece as well as directing a team of 2D animators and clean-up artists to bring the 2D sequences to life, alongside animated 3D product models.

B-Goldi
Client:  Drunk Elephant
Agency: Big Active
Production Company: Dan Britt Studio
Created in collaboration with illustrator Robert Beatty and agency Big Active, this animated piece showcases Drunk Elephant’s B-Goldi Bright Drops. The project began as a deceptively simple task: to capture the product’s signature golden hued drops in an animated environment. As production progressed, we expanded the scope, introducing more 2D animation to enrich the narrative and fully realise the luxurious, dreamlike world surrounding the product.

My role included animation direction, 2D animation, and working closely with Robert on the visual development & transitions. The final result blends his distinctive airbrush style with layered animation to create a richly textured and immersive film.

Volvy
Production Company: Blink Industries
Client : Devolver Digital
I was invited to create three animated segments for Devolver Digital’s event film, featuring their vole mascot, Volvy. Tasked with recreating three distinct animation styles: an early 8-bit arcade game, a 90s kids’ TV show, and a classic Atari-style point-and-click adventure, reflecting the evolution of gaming visuals in this mockumentary style film.

In addition to animation, I contributed Storyboarding as well as I co-writing the Field-Run 2 sequence, which takes place at the climax of the film. In this pivotal moment, Volvy’s creator faces a difficult decision to destroy his own creation, which he has lost control of.

Rick and Morty - Exquisite Corpse
Client:  Adult Swim
Production Company: Titmouse
This animated segment was part of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty: Exquisite Corpse promo, a collaborative project where multiple animators contributed sequential scenes without seeing each other's work, inspired by the surrealist drawing technique of the same name. The full video, directed by Matt Taylor, has since garnered over 17 million views on YouTube.

In my segment, I further explored the shape-tween animation techniques I had developed in I'm Dead Inside, creating some interesting new designs and silly walk-cycles for Rick and Morty as they travel between dimensions.

You can watch the full Rick and Morty: Exquisite Corpse promo here.

The Paddock Idents
Commissioned Shorts
Production Company: Blink Industries
Client : Channel 4
A series of animated idents commissioned for The Paddock, Channel 4’s remote comedy showcase launched during the first lockdown in 2020.  These bumps were designed to set the tone for a show developed entirely under lockdown constraints.

Created in isolation, the animations aimed to reflect the bizarre collective mood of that year, pushed to an absurd level. At one point, we got the note: “What exactly happens in Danger Town?”

Pop Idents
Production Company: Blink Industries
Client: Sony
A series of short idents created for a Sony kids’ TV channel, featuring classic pop-culture monsters in offbeat, comedic scenarios.  The goal was to create idents that felt surprising and entertaining, balancing visual nostalgia with humour designed to land with a younger audience.

I collaborated with co-writer Baker Terry to develop a set of playful vignettes that reimagine iconic creatures, drawing inspiration from Godzilla, early Disney animation, Ray Harryhausen and B-movie monsters with a deliberately absurd tone.

Clarks - Prepare For Awesome
Client:  Clarks
Production Company: Black Sheep Studios
A series of four animated commercials created for Clarks’ Prepare For Awesome campaign. As Animation Director, I led a team of animators and designers in-house at BBH, working closely with their creative team to write scripts and develop storyboards across all spots.

The production combined animation and live action. I directed a live-action shoot at Clapham Road Studios to capture footage of puppeteered Clarks shoes, which was then integrated into the animated scenes. To enhance the movement and energy of the 2D animation, we added textured cel-animated effects in Photoshop, including smears and dynamic overlays to bring extra life and texture to the final films.

Stronger
Production Company: Dan Britt Studio
Client : Tool Room Records
A promotional video created for Stronger, a single released by Dombresky and Boston Bun on Toolroom Records.

Drawing inspiration from 1980s arcade aesthetics, the video references Street Fighter loading screens and classic arcade machines, capturing the track's dynamic energy while evoking a sense of nostalgia for the golden era of gaming.
